Elastopole has developed an international strategy aiming to promote a policy of targeted cooperation with European and international partners and to promote the polymers sector - and more specifically the French elastomers industry.
The aim of Elastopole’s international strategy is to enable its members to address major markets through an essentially technological approach and increase the visibility of the sector at a European level.
In our experience, this can only be done via a network approach. Elastopole therefore decided to establish its international strategy in close cooperation with Mecafuture, the French materials and mechanics network of hubs and clusters and with the support of the DGCIS and the France Exports Team (Ubifrance and the chambers of commerce network) which provides support for exporting companies.
The Cluster constructed its international strategy gradually, first running a series of exploratory missions in major industrial markets.
Today, Elastopole’s international strategy has found consistency in two concentric and complementary circles.
The first circle is that of European partners. There are numerous contacts with public and private structures, particularly in Germany, Spain, Italy and Belgium. Elastopole works with these partners to create a European network of clusters within the sector.
The second circle is that of the major industrial countries. We believe in the ability of our members to win a foothold in these countries by forming technological partnerships.
In this connection the Cluster runs three types of action :
