Collaborative platforms

Elastopole has supported three projects since 2008 to create collaborative platforms. These are now active to assist you with your research and development programmes.


Dedicated to a key technology, these platforms are shared innovation spaces, aimed at giving companies means of access to :

  • Shared technological tools.
  • Specific research and development services.


These platforms are currently in operation.


NANOSCAN 


Nanoscan is a specialist characterisation platform for studying the surface of materials on a nanometric scale. It makes shared analysis resources available, enabling, among other things, a three-dimensional view of the distribution of types of chemical within an object. Time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (Tof-SIMS) is one of the most powerful instruments for studying these distributions.


This project has received public funding from the European Regional Development Fund in the Centre region (ERDF Centre) and the Conseil Général for Loiret.


This instrument, installed in the joint CNRS/University of Orléans CMRD (Orléans particle research centre) laboratory will complement an X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) and an environmental atomic force microscope (AFM), in order to provide a complementary approach to the characterisation essential to the understanding of issues related to the research and development of new materials.

POLYDYAM


PolyDyam is an innovation platform whose aim is to become the reference for the industrial testing of rubber, polymer and elastomer parts and materials associated with automotive and aeronautical dynamics and future mobility.


The aim is to bring together complementary skills and scientific equipment existing in France or to be acquired, in order to offer competitive services on both a national and international scale.

SAXS - GISAXS


SAXS-GISAXS is an experimental small angle X-ray scattering line (SAXS-GISAXS) at the CMRD (Orléans Particle Research Centre) joint CNRS/University of Orléans laboratory.


With no equivalent in the Centre region, this device allows a depiction of the state of organisation of a heterogeneous medium at an observation scale of between 0.5 and 100nm.


It has an environmental chamber which maintains the sample in a controlled atmosphere to carry out measurements inside the volume ((SAXS) transmission mode) or on the surface of the sample ((GISAXS) grazing incidence mode) on depths of between 1nm and 10µm. With its SAXS-GISAXS flexibility, this depiction tool is suitable for studying a large number of heterogeneous media (porous, dispersions, emulsions, gels, aggregates, polymers, nanocomposites, ceramics, heterogeneous glass, supported particles, oriented threads, cavities and nanostructured threads).


The project received public funding from the Centre region (2012 academic initiative projects).
